Good morning, good afternoon or good evening, depending on when you are tuning in. My name is Jonathan Torres Herrera and you are watching or listening to The JTH Show today. Lets talk about Obama denouncing The fall in the Police and the UK being the first country to get the COVID-19 vaccines.
0 (33s):
All right, so there is some interesting news in the first one we’re going to talk about is the trending topic that was earlier on Twitter. And that is a, that the fun and the Police. Now, when I came across this, you know, I thought it was in anything else, you know, like he has trended in the past, right? Well, you have some kind of a demonstration that then leads into Defund the Police he did not write, excuse me, the nouns, the, the funding, you know, the whole slogan that we found the Police Logan, but essentially that’s what he said. Right? So let me show you guys real quick, what happened?
0 (1m 14s):
And that is in a written, in an article on the hill.com, right? We’re you have a, the title saying Obama you lose people with snappy slogans, like Defund the Police. So allegedly, according to this article, Obama was interviewed on what, you know, there is a interview rather that was going to be released on a Wednesday in that came out of a, I didn’t know, this was the thing, by the way, a Snapchat political Show called good luck America. Now that the highlight here is to see that allegedly there, right here, you know, direct quote from the former president saying you lost a big audience the minute you say it, which makes it a lot less likely that you’ll, you’re actually going to get the changes you want done, which is something that I’ve, I’ve said before, right on previous shows when it comes to such aggressive and, and really dramatic, that’s really what they are dramatic statements.
0 (2m 20s):
Of course, if you, if we go back to Twitter, you see a whole bunch of people that are gonna, you know, essentially disagree. And, and if anything, they’re going to get very, very triggered by even someone like Obama, which usually supports a many left leaning movements. You have people that Our, that, you know, they come out here and say things like, you know, just take your five seconds and go learn what the fund to Police means. Instead of being literally be the lid that it would be literally in during times of mass protest against the police, murdering people, you stupid, right? This comes out of a user Bez. Eh, what’s funny here is I don’t think that Obama right in, in this interview that he had belittles the, the slogan.
0 (3m 11s):
But rather what he is saying is, is very simple. Where are you have some of these individuals that come up with these very dramatic slogans, right? To try to make this this point across and they end up losing more people than they actually gain. Why? Well, because while you have some individuals
2 (3m 34s):
That have had horrible
0 (3m 36s):
Experiences with police officers, you’re going to have the majority who have actually needed a police officer and for whatever reason, right? Whether it be on the highway or whether it’d be in their neighborhood or, or at the store, and they have gone in whatever it is that they called the police for, you know, fixed, you know, taking care of right, without any major incidents. A lot of us actually don’t want to live in a world where we actually can not call a police officer, right. To help us out with something that is, you know, beyond something that we, as individuals can sort out, right? Whether it be what someone that is being unreasonable and even being violent and threatening you or your family, you want to have the ability to say, you know what, I’m not gonna, you know, stand out here that gets to the wild, wild West and going to a shootout as much as I’ve said it before.
0 (4m 25s):
Right. That I, that I, I believe people should own, you know, guns and that’s perfectly fine. I also don’t believe that guns are, is a solutions for everything, right. That you are going to get a gun and then your neighbor or whoever the hell you are having an argument with should get their gun. And then, you know, let’s see who draws faster. And I think we’re beyond that, you know, by several decades. So calling the police is always an option, right. An option that I think people should have. Right. And by saying Defund the, Police, it’s, it’s a very vague statement. Right. Which then a lot of people in that drives a lot of people to feel like, you know what we should do, we should Defund the Police completely.
0 (5m 9s):
And then we should do what New York is doing now. Right. Which I shared it on a previous video where they’re like, ah, we’re going to go ahead and send out, you know, is that kind of like caseworkers social workers, of course accompanied according to New York. And I will say, thank God with a police officer. Right. So if anything, I don’t know how much about the funding you can talk about when you’re going to have, in cases that New York, additional people co out to eight to a scene where it’s something just costs more money, but you know what, that’s a completely different topic staying on here with, with what the Brock said. I think that we can reform.
0 (5m 50s):
I’ve also said about before a completely with reforming how much, how much a police officer is to do I’m all for going into some type of reform that sees how the money is spent. Absolutely. Right. I’ve been, I’ve been a big advocate right. Of, of any company, whether it be the, the Police or whether it be gigantic independent companies that have like these massive layoffs, but you have, you know, CEOs and VPs, you know, go out with, with these gigantic severance packages or bonuses. Right. That allows him to leave his crazy, crazy lifestyles where they’re buying yachts and they’re buying, you know, a very expensive vehicles, but again, they’re frontline workers completely laid off.
0 (6m 36s):
Right. Or many of them laid off or given very minimal, you know, benefits, including, you know, very low wages. Right. So I’m all for seeing if that is happening in the police. You know, I don’t know that, I don’t know if these police chiefs are leaving and you know, these massive mansions. I don’t know that. So am I with, you know, with the party of saying, Hey, I don’t want to see the police being defunded, but I want to see it being reformed, you know, in, to something that’s going to be more constructive, more, more modern, right. For our times. Sure. Yeah. Absolutely. Why not? But I do agree that using such a vague statement, radicalizes a lot of people, you know, because not everybody uses their critical thinking.
0 (7m 18s):
Right. Of saying, Hey, defending doesn’t mean we get rid of Police right. JT. I, I would agree with that, but you be surprised how many people believe that the police should be abolished. In fact, I’ve heard that before, right. That, you know, some individuals believe that the police, as, as it is seen now should be completely abolished. And that is insane. That’s a radical idea. So, you know, that was trending. A lot of people got disappointed because they felt like, you know, people like Obama will back them up no matter what. And that’s obviously not the case. So let’s move on now very quickly to another story, which is very interesting. I think a lot of people we’ll will be very happy to hear this, but at the same time, of course, there’s going to be those individuals that don’t agree with it.
0 (8m 4s):
And that is that the UK becomes first country to approve the Pfizer BioEnTech COVID Vaccine yeah. Show you guys out real quick. So there is, there is a The the article, it was in NBC news.com. And essentially what they’re discussing here is a very soon, right. We’re going to have a company released these vaccines, right. To allegedly 800,000. Right. Which won’t cover right. At a hundred thousand. Sounds like a lot, but it’s really not going to be sufficient right. To, to put too many people at ease. Right. It’s a good, a good batch, a good number.
0 (8m 45s):
But according to this article, you know, it’s going to be primarily go to, you know, health co-workers car care, I’m sorry. Care home staff and residents and people all over the age of 80. So, you know, is it going to cover obviously the entire country? No, that is, that is insane to say that, but it will definitely be a huge leap, right. Or as I say here, a huge mile, a symbolic milestone right. In the fight against the pandemic. So it’s, it’s interesting because I think a lot of people write, will find this. I know very soothing in some ways to say, Oh my God, thank God we have, you know, a, a country that’s really moving forward through and getting some of the, some of the, the vaccines that have already shown to be, you know, effective against the, the, the, the virus rolled out to people, you know, let’s get this rolled out now.
0 (9m 37s):
So that UK being the first definitely doesn’t, you know, put us in. And when I say yes, the us, of course, in the best light, right? Because now we are, I believe in many parts of the United States, we have like random epicenters, right. Where we have a lot of, a lot of, or hotspots, I’m sorry to epicenter, hotspots, excuse me. We have, you know, batches of people, you know, super spreading, you know, the, the disease and, you know, with, with, with sure. Some hopes that we have companies like Pfizer, who are like, Hey and Madonna, of course, who have said, Hey, we have a vaccine that so far in these trials appear to be very effective about a people are still questioning.
0 (10m 21s):
Okay, well, that’s good to know, but we’re where is it? Where is it for the, for everybody, right. People want to go back to living their normal lives. And you know, at the end of the day, I will say this at the end, the day, I will say this, I think very much, like I said, in the previous video, right. With the Vaccine right. Where I said, some people are going to be waiting, impatiently, wanting to go, we get this Vaccine in line. You know, they want to, they can. Right. And I don’t blame them because a lot of these in the vigils is not that they want to have the vaccine because, Oh, I want to go back to partying. No, no, no. A lot of them, one of the Vaccine because they are in danger of, of getting, do you know, contracting the, the COVID, you know, virus sometimes daily, right?
0 (11m 12s):
A lot of these individuals for first responders, people that work face-to-face, it can be even someone like, you know, staff at a restaurant or I, or even if you say, well, what JTH at our restaurant is shut down. Well, that’s a complete different topic because in a whole other ball of wax ’cause we have individuals that are still working because I need to work. But the restaurant is giving them very little PPE or for that matter to the restaurants is refusing to shut down, shut down their doors. And they’re still getting massive amount of people come in and dining in. So those people, those people are going to want a Vaccine first, right? Those people are going to want to be in line and say, you know what, man, I deal with people.
0 (11m 53s):
They’re there, kids, you know them, you know, not using proper, you know, I don’t know hygiene are washing their hands or whatever I want to Vaccine. I don’t have no choice. I need to keep working. So I don’t blame those individuals. Of course, you’re going to have people that are going to be the opposite. And they’re going to say hail, no, I don’t want to take it. You know, I’m on my own. I’m already a Novak, sir. And you know what, to each their own, I said it before, what am I going to do? I’m going to wait. Right. I’m going to wait until I see many other people that needed and want it to go first and foremost, I want to see how, what reaction there is out there. Is it a little, I don’t know, selfish for me to say, say that.
0 (12m 35s):
Cause it’s like, let the Guinea pigs go first and then I take it. I understand that. That, that may be how it sounds, but yeah. I mean, that’s what I’m going to do, you know, I’m going to see, cause I don’t need it. Right. I I’ve said it before. I don’t need to Vaccine I don’t go out anywhere. I really do. Not my business, my life, everything is here at the time at home, you know, some of you guys might think it was boring. Oh, you don’t get out. I really don’t. I don’t really need to, neither do my kids. My kids are homeschooled. Right. We have our food delivered. So what I run to the front of the light, you know, what to do to rush through the front of the line, just too, to get the vaccine, you know? So it kinda works out that I’m going to see what other people, you know, how other people react to the vaccine.
0 (13m 17s):
And then, you know, once, once you know, my time comes, am I going to say no to it? Probably not right now, unless I hear someone grew up through an I or something, you know, I’m going to take it is very likely, it’ll be something like the flu shot. I respect anybody the way that says, if you take the flu shot, I don’t take the flu shot. Hey, good for you. Right. That that’s, that’s your choice. But my choice is to, to take the flu shot, right. Especially when I feel that I’m going to be in constant contact with people. He, if you want to say that we’ll JT, they’re there. They’re, you know, the, the government, that’s how they manipulate you. I mean, I don’t think it is, you know, good for you. If you think that, you know, that’s what it is, how in the ass to do or Me and again, to each their own.
0 (13m 59s):
But, you know, I think the vast majority, vast majority of people are going to be happy, you know, to see that these vaccines are going to be rolled out now that you know that they’re going to be hopefully successful. Cause that’s what I’m hoping for. Right. That they’re going to be successful. And then soon enough people are going to start getting in line and saying, yeah, I don’t want to be part of the group of people that either act as super spreader, potential, super spreaders or, or infected by, you know, some random other person that, you know, decided to, I dunno, the tin in the event, they don’t have the Vaccine and the rest we become super spreaders. We don’t have to agree on this topic. This is a very difficult topic to agree on, right?
0 (14m 40s):
There are many reasons, including religious beliefs as to why people will not be happy about another Vaccine they have to take in personal, you know, beliefs. Some of are gonna say, you know, it goes against my morals or my best judgment. Listen, I respect that. That is your choice. And if you feel that strongly about it, then, you know, good luck to you. Right. And just say the same as to me, the luck to me, you know, I’m going to take it if I end up going into third I and you get to say a neener neener to me, they’re like to me, right. With my third eye, I don’t think that’s going to be the case. I think, I think the vast majority of these vaccines are going to be fine and you know, we all have to move on with our lives. So that is it for today, you know, just two quick bits of information that I found, you know, interesting that a lot of people sometimes miss, because a while they’re not looking out for them, like I am looking out for them.
0 (15m 31s):
Right. But it is interesting, right. To see that we are first, not everybody agrees in that. Even the very old Barack Obama with to find the police and you know, that there, that we are actually already, some countries are making real strides to get the vaccine out to people. And so, you know, some, some, I guess for me, positive news, but yeah, that’s it for today. I hope you guys have a great rest of the day in the next day. Hey, thanks for watching.
